These terms apply to the use of the Starlit Whale services below, provided by StarlitWhale (the "Operator") as a personal project.

Which sections apply to whom?

• Starlit Whale members: all of "Common & Account", plus the sections for the services you use. To sign up as a member, you must agree to these terms and the Starlit Whale Privacy Policy.
• Users who are not members (visiting or sending an inquiry on the website, guests playing the game without signing in): the sections for the services you use, and "Applies to all users" in "Common & Account".

Changes to and suspension of the services

• StarlitWhale may change the content and features of the services or suspend the services.
• The services are provided as they are. StarlitWhale is not liable for loss caused by suspension of the services, bugs or data loss, except in cases of intent or gross negligence.

Changes to these terms

• If these terms change, we will announce the changes and the effective date on this page, and publish previous versions of the terms and the period each applied at https://accounts.starlitwhale.com/terms/versions?lang=en.
• We do not ask for your agreement again when these terms change. We ask again only when something that requires your agreement changes.

Common & Account · Applies to members (Starlit Whale Account)

Signing up and your account

• With one Starlit Whale Account you can sign in to the services above as the same member, and the same account is created whether you sign up on the account screen, the website or in the game.
• Children under 14 cannot sign up. When signing up, please confirm yourself that you are 14 or older.
• You can create an account with a username and password, or with a Google account. You can link other methods later in My information, and a sign-in method cannot be unlinked if it is the only one left.
• You manage your own account, password and linked Google account, and StarlitWhale is not responsible for what happens through careless handling.

Email (optional)

• You can sign up without entering an email. If you have not entered or verified an email, you cannot recover the password of a username-and-password account if you forget it.
• Advertising information is sent only if you separately agree to "Receive advertising information (optional)" and verify your email, and you can withdraw this consent at any time in My information.

Rules of use

You will not do any of the following.

• Use someone else's username, password or Google account, or sign up pretending to be someone else
• Try passwords at random, or harm the server or other users through excessive requests or abnormal access
• Enter someone else's email address without their permission

Deleting your account

• You can delete your account at any time in My information on the account screen.
• Deleting your account immediately deletes your account, sign-in methods, email and agreement records, and this cannot be undone. Connected services are notified as well: each game's records are deleted as described in that game's section of the privacy policy, and you are signed out of the website.
• "Delete this game's records" inside a game deletes only that game's records, and your account remains.
• A username from a deleted account can be used again to sign up.

Starlit Song (ciel.starlitwhale.com)

To use this game you must agree to this section and the applicable parts of "Common & Account". When you sign up as a member, or sign in for the first time with an account created in another Starlit Whale service, you also agree to "Applies to members" and the privacy policy.

Rules of use

• You may use the game for your own enjoyment only.
• You will not exploit bugs on purpose, or harm the server or other players (excessive requests, abnormal access, using someone else's account, and so on).
• The writing, art, voice, music and software of the game belong to StarlitWhale. Do not copy or distribute them without permission.

Members and guests

• To sign up as a member in this game or to sign in to it for the first time, you also need to agree to this game's "Statistics collection" consent.
• You can play as a guest without being a member. A guest's saves and agreement records are kept in your browser and are lost if you clear the browser's storage.
• This game's member record and saves are kept until you choose "Delete this game's records", delete your Starlit Whale Account, or the service ends. You can choose "Delete this game's records" at any time under Manage agreements in Settings.

Changes to and shutdown of the game

• StarlitWhale may change the game's content, features and the way data is stored, or end the service. Save data may change or be lost when this happens.
• This service is in alpha and may have bugs.

Changes to agreements

• Changes to this section follow "Changes to these terms". If a change requires your agreement again, you must agree again in the game to keep playing.
